What is a Death Doula?

A death doula, also known as an end-of-life doula, provides compassionate guidance and support during life’s final transition. They assist individuals and families in navigating the emotional, spiritual, and practical aspects of dying, ensuring a peaceful and meaningful experience. Whether helping someone process a terminal diagnosis, facilitating important conversations, or sitting vigil, death doulas offer clarity and comfort throughout the journey. Unlike medical professionals, their focus is on honoring personal wishes, supporting grief, and creating space for reflection and legacy planning. If you believe you need medical care right away, call 911.
